Radio Shweta Shardul aims to provide intensive skills through continuous practice for those who want to take up journalism as a profession. It has been designed specifically for university students who wish to learn about the various aspects of radio broadcasting and the idea of content digitalization through practical experience.
After the completion of the internship period, the participant can enhance their storytelling capacity through radio and digital platforms. The program ensures enhanced skills in connecting with audiences through the power of the spoken word.

Program Details:
Apart from increasing access to information and news for the people, our radio aims to develop itself as a learning center to make the journalism education of Nepal more effective.
Internship Intake: Radio Shweta Shardul has four internship intakes per year. Thus, for the convenience of those students studying and working in the media field, they can enroll as per the following schedule:
1. Application Deadline: 29 Asar, 2081
2. Interview Date: 31 Asar, 2081
3. Result Publication: 31 Asar, 2081
4. Internship Starts from: 02 Shrawan, 2081
Duration: Each internship program runs for 3 months.
Note: Each individuals will be provided with transportation fare at the end of each month.
Time: The internship time is divided into 3 shifts. Interns will be able to choose the time according to their convenience.
-Morning shift (6:30 am–10:30 am)
-Day shift (12:00 noon–4 pm)
-Evening shift (4 pm–8 pm)
The key area of the internship
The area of internship focuses on News Production, Program Production, PSA/promotion and commercial Advertisement Production, Studio Technician and transmission Guidance, Audio Editing and compilation, Digital Journalism, Podcast and video content, Basic video editing, and Graphic designs for Online news and social media contents.
Who can Apply?
The 3-month internship is open, especially to university students studying Bachelor’s and Master’s level in Journalism and mass communication for their academic credit.
The individual can also apply if they are working in different media organizations, private governments, or NGOs.
Besides, we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, as we believe that unique perspectives enrich the world of storytelling.
Terms & conditions
College and university students have to submit the recommendation of the concerned department to fulfill academic credit.
Individual candidates who work in an office or an organization must submit a letter of approval from the relevant organization.
To be selected for the internship program, computer literacy with Nepali and English typing skills is mandatory.
Applicants who belong to Dalits, Muslims, minority communities, or differently abled persons are given priority.
Minimal travel incentives will be provided to regular participants during the internship.
Radio Shweta Shardul will award a certificate to participants who pass the exam at the end of the internship period.
